Community Policy

I want to hear what you all have to say about health and fitness in the Triangle and beyond, and this online community policy will set some guidelines to help foster positive communication between me, readers and those who comment.

I encourage you all to be transparent in your comments – post your name or choose a pseudonym that you will use each time you post. By posting your name, you will be held accountable for your comments, which hopefully will deter “bad” posts.

What I expect of you
- No vulgarity or obscenities in comments
- No advertisements or spamming a post with unrelated comments
- Respect to other people who comment – no derogatory or inflammatory remarks that might dissuade someone from posting comments
- Notification of any inappropriate posts as soon as they occur

What you can expect of me
- Responses to any questions or thought-provoking comments
- Strict monitoring of comment activity
- Removal of any comments that might be considered offensive by readers
- Links that take readers to appropriate and relevant Web sites

If someone posts an inappropriate comment, it will be deleted and ignored. Should an inappropriate comment from the same person occur again, that person will be notified and unable to post again.

With your comments and help in monitoring Health on the Hill, we can create a friendly and safe environment for posting comments and sparking discussion. Of course, let me know of any suggestions to make a more complete community policy.
